Flowsheets v2 aims at improving efficiency and aligning PT documentation with billing practices. The system is CPT-centric, meaning billing codes are set up first with interventions nested underneath, reducing clicks and making documentation cleaner and faster.
The system auto-calculates units from minutes and offers options for manual adjustments, the ability to carry forward interventions from previous visits, and optional marking of exercises for Home Exercise Programs (HEP).
Creating CPT blocks in Flowsheets is a streamlined process that begins with adding a CPT code. This new CPT-centric structure allows you to set up billing codes first and then nest your interventions underneath. This approach mirrors actual billing practices, making documentation faster and more aligned with provider workflows.
To create a CPT block, you start by clicking the "+ CPT" button at the top of the flowsheet. You can search for CPT codes by number, such as 97110, or by description, like "therapeutic exercise." Once you select the desired code from the dropdown menu, the CPT block will appear with fields for entering modifiers, minutes, provider, and status.
The Flowsheets design ensures that minutes are entered once per CPT block, avoiding repetition for each intervention. Units are auto-calculated from the minutes at the CPT block level, though manual adjustments can be made if needed.
Once you have a CPT block, interventions can be added underneath it. You can use either free text or the library to add interventions, and both methods can be combined freely.
